Tuesday, July 1

A sunny evening meeting. Joining the usual suspects were two new arrivals: Sylvia Howe, erstwhile editor and writer on elegant living magazines, and former BBC voice from Africa, now also into PR; and Zoë Meyer, a consultant on self-publishing, whose recent productions have been on gardens and trees.

Conversation drifted towards the arts, and a plans were discussed about putting a giant Astroturf 3-piece suite on Benenden village green, like the one now standing outside the National Theatre. It might need to be done Banksy-style.
